How do I remove an internet dialler if I already have one?

To completely remove an internet dialler, you need to remove all program components and registry entries. This is not something supported by the TelstraClear helpdesk as it is outside our support policy and usually requires editing the registry or your computer.

TelstraClear recommends Geeks on Wheels who provide a high quality home computer help service.

In addition, we have negotiated a discount on Geeks on Wheels normal rates especially for you! You will save $10 per hour just because you are a TelstraClear customer.

How has this program appeared on my computer?

It was downloaded from a website or email accessed via you or someone using your computer.

Where did my computer dial?

Your computer dialled the number the internet dialler is programmed for. This could be an 0900 or international toll number in any part of the world. The cost of the call depends on the destination and type of call.

There was nobody in my house/ I was on holiday when these calls were made.

Once downloaded, some diallers have a timer, which then attempt to make such calls. This can be several hours or days after you have finished using the internet or downloaded the dialler.
