Global Roaming Toolkit - Instructions for Downloading and Installing the iPass software for Mac OS X 10.2 and above

Download and install

Click on the icon above to begin downloading the iPassConnect Installer for MacOS-X. An Internet browser window may come up initially, but it will soon disappear and be replaced by the Download Manager.

Please wait while the file is donwloaded to your default download directory. If you are on a Cable, Jetstream or LAN connection then this should take less than a minute. But if you are using a dial-up modem it might take up to 5 minutes to complete.
When the Download Manager has finished downloading the file, double-click on the icon entitled macsetup.dmg that will now be located on your desktop.

Please wait a few moments while MacOS-X automatically extracts, mounts and opens the installer image file for you. If you do not end up getting a new window with a package file in it then double-click on the new icon on your desktop entitled iPassConnect

iPass Connect Installer

The two pages are introductory, so just click the Continue button on each.

Introduction: Click the Continue button.

Software Licence Agreement: Please read this agreement carefully. It formulates the terms and conditions that govern the use of iPassConnect on your computer. The software will not run until you have agreed to the conditions. When you are ready to agree, click the Continue button.
Accept the Agreement: Click the Agree button to continue the installation.
Select a Destination: Highlight the disk volume you wish to install iPassConnect to and then click the Continue button. Important! The install partition would normally be the same volume that your copy of Mac OS X is currently operating from. If you are not sure which volume to install to then seek the advice of your workplace systems administrator or an Apple Macintosh computer consultant.
Easy Install: iPassConnect for clear.net only has one install mode. Click Install.
Install Software: Sit back and relax while Mac OS X performs the installation.
Click the Close button.

That's it. You are now ready to take your computer off-shore and continue using the Internet and e-mail through clear.net. To launch the application, open your hard drive Application folder and double-click on the new iPassConnect icon that will have been installed.

The first time you run the software you will be asked for a Configuration Code. Please enter FGBHGJ-130
