For your convenience, we have listed some of the common configuration settings below.
In order to use your usual e-mail client (e.g. Outlook Express, Apple Mail) to access your e-mail while overseas you'll need to have Mail+ enabled on your Clearnet account.
This can be done through TelstraClear self-service portal at the following link.
Updating The iPassConnnect Phonebook

Dial Properties
The Dial Properties section allows you to configure information for special prefixes, call waiting, dial tones and location. If using Wireless or Wired Broadband as your access method, ignore these instructions.

To access outside line dial is used when you are in a locations such as hotels and businesses where a number must be dialled before being able to make a phone call to an outside line e.g. from some businesses you must dial 1 and wait for a dial tone before being able to call a phone number.

Call waiting services create an audible beeping noise on the line during a conversation to alert the caller than another call is coming through. If this happens during an internet session, the computer may drop the connection. To disable this, select a disabling prefix from the dropdown list.

There are two different types of dialling systems used in the world:
- Tone
- Pulse
Tone is the system used in New Zealand and any country that uses touch tone phones. Pulse is the older system which, instead of audible tones, uses a series of clicks when dialling. You may need to consult someone in the country you’re in to find out which system is in use. Once known, select the appropriate dialling system using the Dial using dropdown list.

To connect using a bookmark, click on the Bookmarks menu, select Show Bookmarks and select the bookmark by clicking on it on the list of bookmarks that appears on the right hand side.

To modify a bookmark, click on the Bookmarks menu, select Show Bookmarks and click on the magnifying glass icon next to the bookmark you want to modify.
